As written on UX Collective, we as designers can do a whole lot more to enrich a child’s life in arts, creativity and design. Ever since the birth of my first child, I was inspired to write a children’s book about being a designer.
The book is a story about Richard the lizard who wanted to be a wizard, and the challenges set before himself and his community. The story is an allegory containing hidden meanings of design, innovation and human behaviour, yet written in a whimsical manner to entertain the little one. In addition, I intend to use the latest technologies behind creating the book, such as artificial intelligence and interactivity, with the hope to make the book a keepsake and conversation starters among others.
Ultimately, it is a book for pre-designers: kids who have the creative potential in them, and the goal is to spread the story of design to as many homes as possible, including impoverished families with children in need.
As such, I seek your support by subscribing to this newsletter! Your vote of confidence matters in getting the best results to launch the book successfully.
Thank you in advance, and I leave you with the first 2 lines to the story:
In a land of lizards, there is no such thing as wizards.
A lizard named Richard, decided over dessert that he wanted to be a wizard.
